The workshop is a four-day program that explores practical approaches to risk-informed security planning, oversight, and decision-making across the civil aviation sector. Developed in collaboration with Transport Canada and the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, it examines Canada’s contemporary aviation security risk management framework and includes a cybersecurity module on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and strategies to strengthen resilience.
Participants will examine threats to civil aviation, risk assessment methodologies, and internationally recognized standards and frameworks. The programme supports States in meeting the requirements of ICAO Annex 17 and equips attendees with the knowledge to identify, assess, evaluate, and mitigate aviation security risks at strategic, operational, and tactical levels.
